"Sophie!" Mum called. "Your photography book has come in the mail."

I raced over. A week earlier, I had ordered, a photography book called Picture Perfect Social Media from Amazon after Paige from The Joys of Being Paige recommended it.

Ripping off the packaging, I revealed a beautiful book.

Soon I was curled up on the sofa, looking through it. It was full of photos, handy tips and advice.

"This will really help my photography," I told Mum. "It looks like an amazing book!"

My book's full of wonderful ideas. I have heaps of things to try out. I'm going to be busy for ages.

Thanks Paige for recommending the book!

Have you read Picture Perfect Social Media? Do you have any photography books you'd recommend?

When we moved into our house six years ago, Gemma-Rose and I were given the smallest room as we're the youngest. But two weeks ago, our older brother Callum left home. The rest of us decided it'd only be fair to move around rooms so that Gemma-Rose and I got a bigger one.

Sammy prowls into my room and flops down on the floor, stretching out so that his tummy spreads everywhere.

Title: HIVE 6: Zero Hour

Author: Mark Walden

Stars: 5 out of 5

Genre: sci-fi

Blurb: Overlord is reborn, and has developed the chilling ability to move from body to body, erasing the host`s personality and ultimately killing them, forcing him to hop from victim to victim. He must find Otto, the only host designed to contain him, and for that he needs the location of H.I.V.E. He also plans to take control of a secret US Army facility that is home to the Autonomous Weapon Programme, a computer-controlled system uniquely vulnerable to his control.

Nero is forced to activate Zero Hour, a plan designed to deal with any member of G.L.O.V.E. on the brink of true global domination. Nero also knows that Otto must not be allowed to fall into Overlord`s hands, and a desperate race across the globe begins. The stage is set for a final battle with Overlord. Little do they know that he has a final weapon in his arsenal, on a scale unlike anything they have ever seen before.

Favourite Quote: Shelby: "I don't know if you've noticed, but kung fu doesn't work at long range."

Thoughts: HIVE is one of my favourite series ever. I was really excited when Mum bought us Zero Hour for Christmas. I'd been wanting it for ages, but sadly our library doesn't have it.

One of my favourite things about these books is the characters. The main characters goes to a school for villains, the enemy is a super computer and the side kicks have a mix of interesting abilities. Theses are certainly not the average ingredients for a novel.

Another great thing about the HIVE book is the epic lines! I'm always stopping to read out quotes to Gemma-Rose (who also loves them). All the characters have great senses of humour. The books are really quote-able.

Have you read HIVE? What do you like most about this book series?

Star Girl from The Nights Writer's Diary, nominated me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. Thank you!

To accept this award, I have to answer Star Girl's ten questions. I decided, that instead of answering them in a blog post, as normal, I'd make a video.

I pass this award onto:

Sarah Margaret from Trusting in the Lord Day By Day

Julia from Writing for His Glory

Charlie from Diary of an Unschooling Teenager

I look forward to hearing your answers to my questions!

My Questions:

1.If you could be a book character, which one would you be and why?

10. Which Greek God is your favourite?

For Christmas this year my older sisters, Imogen and Charlotte, decided to make me and Gemma-Rose something special.

They disappeared into their bedroom with Mum's sewing machine, and didn't come out for ages. We had no idea what they were doing.

this is Gemma-Rose's

On Christmas day, when giving out our presents, Imogen and Charlotte bounced around, excited. They couldn't wait to give us our presents.

Finally their turn to hand out presents came. They rushed over to us and passed us two parcels. Gemma-Rose and I unwrapped them to find we each had a bag and pencil case.

"We made the bags out of shorts," Charlotte informed us.

"They're sags," Imogen said, "Bags made out of shorts. The pencil cases are the legs!"

"The pencil cases should be called pencil laces," someone added. "Pencil cases made from legs."

I've been wanting a big bag for ages. Something I can put all my bits and bobs in when we go places. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the "sag".  It's going to be really useful, it's also looks amazing!

What did you get for Christmas?
