It was my eleventh birthday. Imogen had pancakes on the table and I was hungry. I could not wait for presents. I finished my breakfast and got dressed.
I was not allowed to do any jobs. Gemma-Rose kept on telling me to go and sit down even when I was just talking. I did not mind though.
When present time came, I was really excited. Gemma-Rose gave me a lovely plastic fairy doll, Thomas gave me a watch, Charlotte gave me some earrings and a hand crocheted cat, Imogen had got me a some more earrings, Callum had a sticker for my netbook for me, Duncan gave me a Where's Wally book and a movie and chocolates, Mum gave me an animation book and Dad gave me two pairs of pyjamas. I have a couple of presents that I do not know who gave me. Among them there were paints and bed socks.
After presents we all went out so I could have my ears pieced. It is the Elvis tradition to have your ears pieced on your eleventh birthday.
When my ears were pieced we all went down to the lake, were we met Callum's girlfriend and went for a run around the lake before lunch. For lunch we had potato salad, ham, chicken, and cheese rolls, with chocolate bicuits to follow.
At home we played a game of checkers. Then we watched a movie, Tintin.
For dinner we had lasagna. That is my favourite dinner. I have it for my birthday dinner every year.
After dinner we watched 'The Legend of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole', which was the movie Duncan gave me. Then we had the lovely cake Charlotte made.

It was Mum's birthday and there were pancakes on the table. I love pancakes. They are my favourite breakfast. I hurried in to Mum's room to say hallo before breakfast. Mum was just about to open a present from Dad. It was a Tablet. When I saw it I thought of my present for Mum and smiled. I just love giving people presents.
When I had done all my jobs I started to make the dinner in the crock pot. While I did it Mum and Imogen played on the Tablet. After making dinner and morning tea Mum opened the presents that her sisters had sent. She was not going to open our presents till dinner time. Mum was very surprised when they turned out to be just what she needed. In one present there were pajamas and bed socks and in the other there was a running top and pants.
Mum went out to meet Nanna at the cafe at two and we all stayed home and watched a new movie that Duncan had bought. It was the new Tintin. We all enjoyed it almost as much as the clinkers that Duncan had bought to go with it.
When Mum got home she showed us the present that Nanna had given her. It was a lovely photo album full of photos of Mum as a girl. Mum had never had many photos of herself as a girl so it was a wonderful present. I think Mum was a very pretty girl. In one photo she looks just like Gemma-Rose.
Dad was home from work just before dinner. At dinner we all told him all that had happened in the day. We did not tell him or Mum much about Tintin because we were going to watch it again after presents and cake. We had presents at the dinner table. It was fun to see Mum open the presents and see what they were. I gave her a bar of goat's milk soap.
After a yummy slice of Imogen's banana and chocolate cake we sat down in the family room to watch Tintin.
I got just as exited as I had the first time when Tintin found Captain Haddock in the cabin and when Captain Haddock fell into a dress. I think that Captain Haddock is one of the best people in the movie.
Now Gemma-Rose and I are watching the old TV series. I think that they are really funny.

I was looking for something to write about on my blog and then Mum suggested I post up some of the pictures I have drawn and here they are:
Manga Boy:
He is a boy that came from a book I once read. It was called The Penderwicks. In the book he lived with his mother and cook. He had no real friends until the Penderwick girls came and livened things up for him.
Dick the sports boy:
Dick loves sport and has a weekly game of it with some friends. He is not from a book like my other boy instead he comes right out of my head and I am very proud of him.
Queen Marie:
Queen Marie may be old but you do not see her in an old ladies' home instead you see her going off to balls and saving the day. She went to war once when King Ernie was too sick to go. She is not afraid of doing things like that.
He is a bit forgetful but he is really nice. He once eat his fish uncooked and when his men told him he turned so red that if he had been in red he would look like a tomato.
Sam:
He loves nothing better than to get Albert in trouble and stay out of it himself. He is very clever though he will not admit it. At the school for young owls he beat everyone in the class and his parents are very proud of him.

King Ernie:
Queen Emily:
She is the sister to Queen Marie though she does not look it and she rules the only kingdom that King Ernie likes. She has ten children and loves every one very much. She is loved very much in her kingdom and even though she is not loved as much as King Ernie and Queen Marie.
Sam:

Albert:
He is very naughty at school but only because he does not want to be like Sam. He lives in a hole in a tree and could fly at a very young age. He wants to be a doctor when he grows up and I think he will be for when he sets his heart on something it happens.
I was at an animal sanctuary last week and there were all sorts of animals there but I forgot to bring my camera and so when I got home I looked up some of the animals on Morgue file and then I made them into a collage on Picnik.
Which kind of animal do you like best? I like the dingos and the koalas.
This is a collage that I did of fireworks. I did it becuase it is the last day of January. I got the pictures off Morguefile a free picture site.
Thanks for reading.
