Four Tips for Your 365 Project

16:04

Recently I joined 365 Project, a website where I have to post one photo every day for a year. While it's fun, it's also a lot of hard work to make myself take a photo every day. So I want to post four tips to help you if you decide to take up this challenge too.

Plan ahead. It helps so much to work out what you're doing the night before. If you're going out, it would be the perfect chance to take some photos. If you have a day at home, maybe you could try to master something new on your camera.

Go on outings. Since I started 365 Project, I've been going down to the park frequently to take some photos. I've found that I love going out on photography outings.

Keep your camera on hand. You never know what's going to happen. A photo opportunity can come along unexpectedly. Make a habit of keeping your camera somewhere handy so you can easily grab it.

Read photography books and articles. It's easy to get bogged down taking a photo every day. One of my favourite ways to stay interested is to read photo-related things or even just look at other people's photos. It's a great way to get inspired.

Have you done 365 Project? What tips do you have to share?

  1. I did something very similar. I did 7 photos a week for a year...... except I ended up doin git for 3 or 4 years...... I still take photos almost every day. I think the most important thing is one you have listed. To ALWAYS carry your camera... I still don't go ANYWHERE away from the house without my camera except on VERY very rare occasions.

    1. I find that if I've got my camera with me, it's harder not to take a photo. I always end up taking more photos than I mean too!
