I'm in the mood for portrait photography. I'm itching to pick up my camera and take some photos.
"Gemma-Rose, would you mind being a model for me?" I am wearing my best pleading face.
"Sure!" Gemma-Rose agrees. "Shall we go down to the park?"
Soon we're rushing around, finding charged batteries, changing camera lenses and grabbing shoes. I quickly braid Gemma-Rose's hair before we're ready to go.
We walk down the road, arm in arm. I'm full of excitement. It's been a while since I've done a photo shoot.
Luckily for me, Gemma-Rose is a natural model and understands everything I want her to do. I don't have to give her many instructions.
"What if you lean against that tree?" I suggest.
"I could sit on that gate over there," Gemma-Rose says.
The time whizzes by without us knowing, because we're busy. Finally, though, I suggest we head home. I'm looking forward to sorting through my photos and seeing if I have any good ones.
"Thank you for coming with me."
"That's OK," Gemma-Rose grins. I think she enjoyed our outing just as much as me.
Which photo is your favourite? Do you have a sister or friend who is a willing model? Or are you the model?
